Susi-Z is a platform-independent C++ game and media-art engine.
We developed this engine for use within several game-art projects and installations.
Beside the ready-to-use Jump'N'Run capabilities, Susi-Z enables the rapid and easy development of media-art installations due to the extended
camera calibration methods. The engine provides methods for synchronizing a projection with video input for augmented reality and mixed-media projects.
The graphical output is based on openGL and thus it is possible to mix 2D Jump'N'Run elements with 3D effects and openGL shaders.
Our projects Edgebomber and SpaceInvaders360 have been developed using this engine.
Ports for mobile phones are used for the projects 5GH and ZZZ.

Edgebomber breaks up the classic “ready-made”-gameconcepts.
With support of special duct tapes, the player create their own
levels and sketches to solve this game.
Edgebomber deals about user-generated content in games and his social
expansion. Contrary to Duchamp, Edgebomber designs not readymades,
sketches fixed into an unchanging form, but levels that are constantly
ready-to-be-made.
Spontaneity and brevity are key to Edgebombers artistic vision, as is the
idea of endless permutation and proliferation at the expense of a final,
fixed form.
EdgeBomber is a “Pervasive Game”, where the player uses tape, stickers
and scissors to create their own playgrounds on a wall.
The procedural system grabs the scenery and creates a virtual level for the
jump’n’run video game, based on our game-engine “Z100”.
The grabbed playground is extended with items and enemies and is projected
back to the original scenery. The augmented reality level is created,
where our hero “Ozkar” has to resist the attacks of hubert, the flying sausages
and the evil Tapeboy and more...
After playing Edgebomber, the gamer receives a special code to play and
share the levels via Internet (aka Flashbomber).

Susipong extends the classical PONG match to a worldwide multiplayer game with up to four players. If the ball pongs out of your own

In the age of ego-shooters, susigames reduces the principle of the "frag" to a field with five holes. Referencing a fair game from the 18th century, you have to smack down as many opponents as possible for every single level. Your reactions will be really put to the test with consecutive levels. Longtime fun is guaranteed by multiple foes, new items, minigames and new animations, that can all be seen in the later levels. The characteristic animation style of G5H emphasizes the actual gameplay.

stickiesWorld is a 360 degree immersive & hybrid (real/virtual) generative game installation
The spectator enters an obscured whitecube, which is illuminated with a projected
hemisphere. The nonlinear gameplay results in different moods of illumination which are
projected from the hemisphere at the same time. It is on the visitor to just watch the
installation and enjoy the worlds emerging from sequences of previous games or to actively participate
in the gameplay. In the stickiesWorld game mode, the total antihero "stickie" can be
accompanied and controlled through four different worlds with the funkjoypad. Every single
world contains numerous enemys, secret passages and extreme mean bosses. The gameplay is nonlinear
and is influenced indirectly by the players physis. The camera follows fluently, supported
by cartoon-style cutscenes, while stickie explores the world surrounding. The game is played on a
360 degree hemispherical display.
